  What is a virtual run?
A virtual run is a race that you can complete at your own pace and time.

Virtual running works exactly the same as any other type of running but the difference is that the entered race can be run at any location, either outside or inside on a treadmill.

All you have to do is register for a race and provide evidence that you have done it. The evidence can be a screenshot of your running app, a photo of the treadmill screen etc. Do check out specific instructions of the event you join for more information.

Virtual races are a great way to stay fit and active all year round, run for good causes and get awesome medals and other entitlements for your participation!

Make-A-Wish Singapore, a non-profit organisation that creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses, is pleased to announce the return of its annual community event, Santa Run for Wishes 2021! Returning in a virtual format for a second time, the run will be held from 1-19 December 2021 with exciting activities lined up for all participants. This year, the registration fee for Santa Run for Wishes 2021 is waived. All registered participants who have paid a registration fee will receive a full refund credited via their used payment method by 10 December 2021. We hope that through this small gesture, we are able to encourage more participants to come together to do something meaningful and help us bring hope, strength and joy to children with critical illnesses.

Similar to last year, Make-A-Wish Singapore renews the call for participants to join the race and bring Santa back to Singapore from the North Pole. Runners will be able to contribute to the 21,517km journey by submitting their distance through the 42Race application (available for download on App Store and Google Play). This year, participants in the virtual run can clock in as much distance as they want and unlock e-badges along the way at the 3km, 5km, 10km, 20km or 50km (accumulative) milestone.

The virtual run drew as many as 1,035 participants last year, clocking an impressive distance of 22,687km to bring Santa back – well over the targeted 21,517km, representing the distance from Singapore to the North Pole.
