What is a
virtual run?
A virtual run is a race that you can complete at your own pace and time.
Virtual running works exactly the same as any other type of running but the difference is that the entered race can be run at any location, either outside or inside on a treadmill.
All you have to do is register for a race and provide evidence that you have done it. The evidence can be a screenshot of your running app, a photo of the treadmill screen etc. Do check out specific instructions of the event you join for more information.
Virtual races are a great way to stay fit and active all year round, run for good causes and get awesome medals and other entitlements for your participation!

Decathlon Singapore partners with Sport Singapore to introduce its first ever Virtual Sports Carnival - Decathlon Sports Fest 2021, in commemoration of Singapore’s 56th National Day celebrations. Taking place between 24 July - 8 August 2021, join us for the first-ever nationwide 10-sport non-competitive sport meet in Singapore.
In the spirit of encouraging Singaporeans to keep active and healthy and to discover and develop a love for sports at any level and budget, Decathlon has created 10 sporting challenges that are easy to partake in and fun to try out while staying safe during this unprecedented time.
The sports available are:
1. 5.6km Virtual Run
2. High-Intensity Fitness Workout
3. Yoga Session
4. 6-landmark Virtual Cycling
5. 5-landmark Wheeled Sports Challenge
6. SG56 Football Challenge
7. SG56 Basketball Challenge
8. SG56 Badminton Challenge
9. SG56 Swimming Challenge
10. Store-to-Store Walkathon
The rules are simple, start with the intention to have fun, document your experience through photos, complete as many challenges as you can within the stipulated time frame and collect your prizes! Be rewarded for discovering and attempting the fun challenges to complete as an individual, or safely and virtually with your friends and family.
Registration is open from now till 23 July 2021! Early bird registration is open from 18 June to 11 July. Registration fees are priced at $18 for early bird, $20 for normal registration and $32 for pair registrations. Sign up today!
