  What is a virtual run?
A virtual run is a race that you can complete at your own pace and time.

Virtual running works exactly the same as any other type of running but the difference is that the entered race can be run at any location, either outside or inside on a treadmill.

All you have to do is register for a race and provide evidence that you have done it. The evidence can be a screenshot of your running app, a photo of the treadmill screen etc. Do check out specific instructions of the event you join for more information.

Virtual races are a great way to stay fit and active all year round, run for good causes and get awesome medals and other entitlements for your participation!

About D2M Run
The D2M Run | 10.10.2021, is organised by Diabetes Singapore (DS), the only registered charity organisation dedicated to the War on Diabetes (WOD) that was declared by the Ministry of Health, Singapore, in 2016. In 2017, Prime Minister, Lee Hsien Loong, stated that it (diabetes) is a serious problem for older people and increasingly for younger Singaporeans. In 2021, he emphasised the need to prevent and manage diabetes by encouraging people to share experiences. The D2M Run is geared to bring such an experience to all Singapore residents – building awareness amongst people from all walks of life while they RUN FOR A CAUSE. DS has partnered with Republic Polytechnic (RP), the only dedicated sports school in Singapore. Both DS and RP share a commitment to promote health. The D2M Run is the signature event to raise awareness and support for diabetes prevention and management in 2021 and years to come. Mr. Desmond Lee, Minister for National Development will be our Guest-of-Honour for the flag-off event.

Diabetes 2 Mellitus is the most prevalent form of diabetes that has been associated with cardiovascular diseases and leads to complications that can affect so many bodily functions. Sure, we live longer but what about the quality of life? Healthy diet and regular exercise matter. Our body is Designed 2 Move. It does not matter whether you are an athletic runner, a jogging enthusiast, a brisk or casual walker. Get moving for a worthy cause. DS will be celebrating its 50th Anniversary in September 2021. The D2M Run is the first dedicated Diabetes Run.
