Organised by the Singapore Disability Sports Council, the ‘National Para Athletics Championships’ has been renamed ‘National Inclusive Athletics Championships’ to reflect the shift towards promoting inclusivity in sports and the community as a whole. The event aims to show how athletics can be adapted to people with different abilities. The name change sees to the inclusion of the deaf community in the event, in addition to persons with physical, intellectual and visual impairment.
This will be the 45th edition of the SDSC’s annual championship event and will include Javelin and Shot Put in addition to track events.
