  More about this event
WUU-2K is the The Wellington Urban Ultra 2K (2 km of climb), a 42 km marathon and 60 km ultramarathon. There's about 2500 metres of elevation over the roughly 60 km course.

The run takes you on either a 42 km trail marathon, or a 60 km ultra marathon around the peaks that circle the outskirts of the CBD. These include Mt Kaukau, Makara Peak, Tawatawa Reserve, Mt Albert, and Mt Victoria. Over the 60km route you will run through native New Zealand forest, farmlands, trails, beach, and even a golf course. You may see livestock, seals, and native birds among the other crazy runners out on the trails.
