The Tropical Journeys Great Barrier Reef Marathon Festival is held in the idyllic location of Port Douglas, Queensland. The adventure marathon festival caters for runners from all walks of life with distances ranging from 74km Ultra Marathon to a 2.5km Junior Challenge. Ambassadors Steve Moneghetti, Jess Trengove and Craig Mottram all participate in the event with marathon legend Pat Carroll calling the runners over the line.
Comprising of beach, road and trail, there really is no comparison with this regional event being one of the best on the national running calendar. What better way to see Port Douglas but to run through it’s hills, rainforest, beach and streets … and then you can recover in paradise!
