  About event
Nestled in the heart of George Town, the Komtar Tower is being known widely as the tallest skyscraper in Penang, a cylindrical shaped building that offers views of the island and across the straits to Penang’s mainland. In 2017, The Top Komtar Tower Run will be held with the objective of fostering a healthy lifestyle regardless of the city’s hectic pace while revitalising this prominent landmark.

Different from all the previous ones, the Top Komtar Tower Run 2017 will be a fun run as an alternative to a race. People are encouraged to run leisurely whilst enjoy their time in the most significant building that height 817ft from the ground.

Held on the 3rd of December, 7am to 10am, participants of the run are required to complete a 2km route covering around Jalan Magazine and Jalan Penang before entering the tower. From the entrance, participants will then start climbing 1217 steps up to the ending point located at the 59th floor. The first 100 finishers of the run are entitled to a pass for the Rainbow Sky Walk at 68th floor.

Despite of the fun run, the event aims strongly to promote the prestigious tower as a destination for tourism and hangouts, providing an opportunity for public to visit or even revisit the place with broader understanding towards Komtar.

The fun run is open to the age group above 13 years old, registration fee for a t-shirt and a finisher’s medal is RM30 while awesome goodies and lucky draws will be included too. Online registration can be done at www.howei.com
