The Mt Vernon Grand Traverse is an 18 km and 11 km off road hill run, and kids 2 km run organised by the Marlborough Harrier Club starting from the Redwood gateway carpark.
The Mt Vernon Grand Traverse is an 18 km hill run up Mt Vernon following the boundaries of the Wither Hills Farm park. The Mt Vernon Fun Run/Walk follows a shorter 11km route, with a quick climb up to Mt Vernon then following the traverse route around down to the finish. The Kid's Challenge is a 2 km out and back run along the Mapp Track, with plenty of smaller hills for smaller legs.
