Surabaya Marathon 2018 is the second running event held by APPBI DPD East Java which is held on 12 August 2018 together with the celebration of Indonesia's 73rd Independence Day.
Over the last few years, running has becoming a lifestyle in Indonesia. Everyone wants to be healthier and running is a healthy challenge everyone is looking for. There are many events overseas and other cities, but why not have our own in our beloved city Surabaya?
In 2018 Surabaya Marathon will feature national, open and master (aged 40 and up) categories in four distance categories: full marathon (42.2km), half marathon (21.1km), 10km and 5km, and expected to attract 4,000 runners from Java, Bali, rest of Indonesia and also other countries. Last year it only featured open category in three distance categories: half marathon (21.1km), 10km and 5km.
