Stepping Up For Stroke 2019 is a charity event Walk/Jog aims to raise $50,000 for programmes supporting stroke survivors and their care-givers as well as for stroke prevention.

WALK/JOG for Stroke
Organized by the Singapore National Stroke Association (SNSA), a Voluntary Welfare Organisation and an Institution of Public Character (IPC) (UEN S96SS0196G), the categories for ‘Stepping out For Stroke 2019’.

his is the fourth year that SNSA is organizing Stepping Out for Stroke and this event will be graced by Guest-of-Honour, Ms. Denise Phua (Member of Parliament and Mayor of Central Singapore).

Early bird registration is ongoing till 6 September 2019 at $30 per participant. The usual fee for registration is $50 per participant. The fee for groups and corporates is $100 per group of 4 participants.

All participants will receive a Stepping Out for Stroke t-shirt and a goodie bag.

Targeting 1000 participants from all walks of life, this event is also a great opportunity to learn more about stroke and how to prevent stroke from occurring. This event will also see stroke survivors walking or jogging, some for them for the first time covering such a distance since their stroke, families of stroke survivors who have journeyed with their loved ones, volunteers and members of the public who are strongly encouraged to show their support and love. Companies are encouraged to register their staff and participate in our Fun Walk/Jog as part of corporate team building and corporate social responsibility.


DONATE for Stroke
Individuals and organizations could fund-raise or make a donation to help SNSA continue its good work. Donations are also appreciated and cheques can be issued to ‘Singapore National Stroke Association’ and mailed to 5 Stadium Walk, #04-02A Leisure Park Kallang, Singapore 397693. As 2019 is Singapore’s Bicentennial Year, for every dollar donated, the Government will match the donation dollar for dollar. As a VWO and IPC, donations to SNSA enjoy a tax rebate of 2.5 times.

SNSA’s 3 missions are SUPPORT, EDUCATION and ADVOCACY for the stroke community in Singapore with a host of programmes and services for stroke survivors and their families.

SNSA has been working with stroke survivors and their families to support them, help raise awareness and to be an advocate for stroke over more than 22 years. We also provide free programs for Stroke Survivors and their Care-Givers in Singapore. 1 in 4 person over 25 years of age will suffer a stroke. With proper stroke prevention education about the risks and ways to reduce such risks, SNSA strives to reduce the number of strokes which occur.
