The Freedom MTB Race on Saturday, 11 November 2017 is at Nightcap National Park in the Byron Bay Hinterland in NSW held the day before an associated trail run event.
The Nightcap National Park is beautiful warm temperate and subtropical rainforest with amazing views from the top of nearby water falls (Minyon Falls) high up in the Byron Bay hinterland.
There are dirt roads, fire trails, and single track/double tracks; clay hard pack, awesome tree cover. There are fast, fun flowing climbs and descents. 99% of the course is in the forest. The course also surrounds the stunning Rocky Creek dam and catchment area.
