More about this event
There is a 5km race (for runners only) introduced in 2016. The race is a 2.5km out and back loop that starts and finishes at Brunswick SLSC. This is a great race for those not used to long distances on the sand.
The 10km Fun Run starts at Belongil Creek and finishes at Brunswick SLSC. Walkers and runners are both encouraged to take part in this event. FREE shuttle buses provided by BVC take runners from Brunswick Heads to the starting line at Belongil Creek. This takes all hassle away from parking and pickups as everyone's vehicles will be waiting at the finish line.
The Byron2Bruns Beach Run has been experienced by thousands of participants since it's introduction to the Brunswick SLSC calendar in 2010. The views along the beach are simply spectacular with whales often being spotted along the way.
Both events are professionally timed by Tempus Sports Timing and the first 300 entrants in 2018 will receive a race bib.

This is a big step forward for us, being the Brunswick Surf Life Saving Club’s major annual fundraising event, run and organised completely by volunteers." ~ Damian Hopkins (event spokesperson)
