X-Run is a charity run organised by Team X-Defined as a continued initiative from Team X last year.
Participants will run in pairs with one wrist tied to the wrist of the other runner.
In doing this, we hope to simulate a form of disability whereby participants will feel difficulty and restrictions while doing simple exercises, just like what disabled athletes have to endure. Hence, this event promotes empathy and increased awareness of the challenges disabled athletes face.
This event is also in support of the Government plan ‘Vision 2030’ to promote a more sustainable, healthy and active society at all levels of participation, nation-wide. Hence, we hope to encourage Singaporeans to be more involved in sports and to give their support to our athletes, not only for the upcoming ASEAN Para games, but also throughout their career.
