Hefei is an iconic capital city in the Anhui Province of Hefei teeming with culture and history. The city boasts an impressive collection of botanical gardens, temples, and other historical sites to round out to help make your visit truly memorable. To name a few, Lord Bao Park has a teahouse and is free to visit, Dashu mountain offers a popular hike, and the Hefei Zoo is a family-friendly option. Average highs in October are 22 degrees C (71 degrees F), making it the perfect place to close out your racing season.
In total, 30 slots to the 2017 IRONMAN World Championship in Kailua-Kona, Hawai’i, will be allocated to finishers of IRONMAN 70.3 Hefei and IRONMAN 70.3 Xiamen. There will also be 50 age-group qualifying slots for the 2017 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship taking place in Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA.
