RED-X Games is a Functional Fitness Challenge aimed at introducing functional fitness into your daily lives.
The definition of being functionally fit would mean being able to carry out physical tasks done in our daily lives with ease. Such tasks range from having the strength and endurance to carry a week’s worth of groceries back home, having the speed and stamina to keep up with the kids, or being able to breeze through the household chores without breaking a sweat.
For competitive athletes and fitness fanatics, functional fitness forms the foundation of peak fitness performance. Having a high level of functional fitness would mean that the athlete will be less prone to injuries due to the physical demands imposed by their specific sports, as well as muscular imbalances. In addition, it helps to prevent premature burnout due to early specialization. This encourages a healthy physical development of the athlete throughout their sporting career, which helps the athlete fulfill their maximum potential.
