  More about this event
The Lake Hayes Triathlon is New Zealand's oldest surviving triathlon, first held in 1983, and is currently held twice annually at Christmas & Easter, and includes a 5 km and 10 km trail fun run.

This triathlon has been a cornerstone of much larger events in the New Zealand triathlon calendar, in the past doubling as the New Zealand national championships, the Oceania Championships, and the World Championships.
