Jungle Marathon Vietnam
The race

Voted by CNN as the World's Toughest Endurance Race, the Jungle Marathon Vietnam is definitely not for the weekend warrior. Runners can expect to run in temperatures reaching 40 degrees Celsius, at 99% humidity. The race offers a 5 stage, self-sufficient race of 220km, with the longest stage of an undisclosed distance, and also a 42km standalone marathon, which is the highly technical 2nd stage of the ultra-marathon. Runners will be tested physically and mentally like never before.

The Jungle Marathon Vietnam takes you through undulating jungle terrain, with steep hill climbs and descents, into the hideout caves of those who fought and survived the country's recent war history, and across mountains and waterfalls that make up the breathtaking landscape. Run along parts of the Ho Chi Minh Trail and close to the border with Laos before returning to Dong Hoi for a stunning finish on the shore.
